Nuwara is a city, in the hill country of the Central Province, Sri Lanka. The city name meaning is "city on the plain (table land)" or "city of light". The city is the administrative capital of Nuwara Eliya District, with a picturesque landscape and temperate climate. It is located at an altitude of 1,868 m (6,128 ft) and is considered to be the most important location for Tea production in Sri Lanka. The city is overlooked by Pidurutalagala, the tallest mountain in Sri Lanka.

enjoy a panoramic view of Sri Lanka. There are several resting places along the
Falls, a gigantic and attractive waterfall (329 ft.), is among the top tourist
attractions of Nuwara Eliya having three parts. Ramboda Falls is a very
attractive yet simple waterfall. Ramboda Waterfall is located by the side of
A-5 trunk route on Kandy to Nuwara Eliya East of Pussellawa.
Land Bird Sanctuary:Galwayâ€™s
Land Bird Sanctuary, a beautiful land area covering an extent of 57.6 hectares
of land in Nuwara Eliya. This tourist attraction attracts about 20 species of
very rare foreign birds and about 30 species of Sri Lankan birds.
Lake:Gregory Lake, built in 1873
by British Governor Sir William Gregory, is one of the significant tourist
attractions in Nuwara Eliya built by utilizing the water from the Nanuoya.
Pidurutalgala: Pidurutalagala, or Mount
English, is anultra prominent peak, and the tallest mountain in Sri
Lanka, at 2,524 m (8,281 ft).Mount Pedro is located close to the city
of Nuwara Eliya, and is easily visible from most areas of the Central Province. It is situated
